Buying my first pair of compression socks from Pro Compression because I am persuaded by sales and they are currently 50% off with the code HEAT50 |
I love chicken sausage cut up in my pasta or on top of my 100 calorie flat breads (like faux pizza). Trader Joes has me really excited with spicy jalapeno at only 100 calories each. Yes, please. |
My 9 pounds of fruit on super sale from Costco. Yes, I live alone and have 9 pounds of fruit, don't worry, it will get demolished. |
Let me know.
Oh, you bought all my favorites! Compression socks, nuun, and food from Trader Joe's and Costco. (Don't you just love the deals you get on fruit from Costco? Their prices for raspberries are out of this world!)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy those compression socks! :)
I'm really excited about the compression socks as I have never owned a pair before. I think your blog was like the 7th or 8th one I read today that mentioned compression socks. It pushed me over the edge, I had to buy.
DeleteMy FAVORITE way to prepare spaghetti is cut up chicken sausage, green peppers and onions, sauteed in olive oil, S&P and then added to just a jarred sauce. The jalapeno sausages look GREAT! I'll have to get those next time I go to TJ's, unfortunately the closest one to me is a three hour drive.
ReplyDeleteI've been running for years, I've never taken an ice bath, foam rolled, worn compression socks and I don't eve know what Nuun is (no worries, I'm Googling it as we speak). I need to start doing these things. Especially foam rolling -- I can tell that would feel so good.
That is the exact same way I do pasta, except I add mushrooms too, great minds!...
DeleteI made it through my first marathon (and I am not proud to admit these things) without ever stretching, foam rolling, owning compression anything, drinking anything besides water, or taking any type of fuel. I decided to get wise and try to change these things.
I love my compression socks. And nuun!
ReplyDeleteBoth are brand new to me, but after hearing so much about them I had to join the club:)
Deletehaha! I love the NINE pounds of fruit! When it's on sale, you've got to get it! Hopefully most of it can freeze. That's what I do!
ReplyDeleteThe sad part Kate...I will eat it all this week and won't need to freeze it. I just realized than means I am eating over a pound of fruit a day. Yikes, both impressive and crazy!
DeleteLove compression socks, nuun and that chicken sausage looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI really hope the chicken sausage is amazing. At 100 calories a piece if it is as good as I hopes I will become addicted!
DeleteLove all of the above :) used my first order of Nuun today at my race and stopped by TJs afterward to pick some stuff up:) I use compression sleeves instead of socks but I want to give them a trip
ReplyDeleteI am so exited about my buys. How was the Nuun? I am waiting for my long run on Sunday to try it out. I really want to just throw it in my water, but trying to restrain.
Deletegreat deal on the socks. I still have not tried any. Maybe one day soon. I am excited about eh sports bras I got @ Moving Comfort! They were on sale! I desperately need new sports bras!
ReplyDeleteI have heard Moving Comfort are the best, but am still running in my old Target ones. Maybe that will be my next upgrade.
DeleteThis post screams awesome! Compression, Nuun, chicken sausage AND a pile of fruit... what a great weekend!!! How did you like the Nuun? I love the stuff!
ReplyDeleteI didn't run today so I haven't tried it yet, cannot wait! I love that you have the same idea of a great weekend as I do.
DeleteCompression socks seem to be all the rage on blogs this week. Please review!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I get the in and have a chance to test them out I'll make sure to do a review. I am curious myself to see how they work.

ReplyDeleteYou'll love the socks. I also like Zensah (just a little softer).
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for another good week of half marathon training without calf issues! (saying a little prayer to St. Sebastian now and knocking on some wood, hehe)
Can't wait to hear what you think of your new gear!
I am excited. I will be stalking the UPS man now in hopes they get here soon.
DeleteI wish you a great week of training too. Since last week didn't really happen for my due to injury this is my marathon week 1:)
Would love to hear what you think of Nuun, Abby - that's one thing I CAN get over here in England, but would like to hear how someone else gets on with it before I take the plunge!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore fruit too - berries especially! I'm excited about couscous at the moment(eating it as I type with prawns and salmon for my lunch, and I'll be having it tonight with cod).
Couscous is fabulous. Your lunch sounds delicious.
DeleteI will make sure to let you know what I think after I try out the Nuun.
Thanks so much for sharing the coupon code for compression socks Abby! I have been going back and forth...back and forth...should I spend that much money on them or not? And then I just decided that 50% off plus no shipping is a GREAT way to try them out! So excited to be compression sock twinnies with you! :)
ReplyDeleteI was doing the same thing. The 50% finally pushed me over the edge. What color did you get?
DeleteI really need to try compression socks. I have a pair that were given to my husband that he gave to me, but have never work. I told myself that I can't buy any pretty pink ones until I actually use the pair that I have at least one. Thanks for the inspiration, think I'll get to it.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for mine to come. I tried to by black and baby blue, but they were out of blue so I did end up with pretty pink ones.
DeleteMy running life changed 180 degrees when I discovered compression gear. I was a chronic calf strain-sufferer, until the correct shoes and calf compression sleeves did the trick. And wearing them after a long run? Man oh man, do they work!! Legs are refreshed and ready to run the next day! I use (& swear by) 2XU gear, but I'm sure any of the top-name brands work. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to try them. How long do you wear them after your long runs? Like all day, couple hours, to bed? Brand new at this.
Deleteoooh those chicken sausages look really good!
ReplyDeleteI have not broken into them yet, but when I do I will let you all know.
DeleteHope you like Nuun! It took me a while to try it too but I'm a believer. It helps alot on long, hot runs!
ReplyDeleteI am really excited. I have a 10 miler this weekend followed directly by a hiking trip. I think that will be my chance to try it out.
Deletei haven't given compression socks a try yet, but i've recently become a huge fan of nuun!
ReplyDeleteI am eagerly (stalking) the mailbox waiting for the socks so I can give them a try too. I am trying the Nuun for the first time on a long run this weekend. So excited.
DeleteLove these things! Strawberry Lemonade is my fave type of Nuun, and I LOVE my compression socks. I'm excited that one of my good friends from Canada sent me a surprise in the mail and I'm going home tonight to see what it is!
ReplyDeleteHow cool. Love going home and finding boxes to open. I'm super excited to try the Nuun after a 10 mile run tomorrow.
