My Rule

Loving these posts I saw yesterday.  They are part of Nike's Make the Rules campaign and I am all about anything that tries to empower females to be healthy and athletic.  How kick butt are these?  Seriously... Love them!
Of course the running one is my absolute favorite.
Don't know anything about this boxer,
but her attitude is fabulous.
True for me during rugby and also when I trip while running (constantly)
I've got mine ready in case Nike comes a calling.

What would your rule be?
Would love to hear what yours would say.

Runner's World Summer Run Streak -
Day 24 = 1 mile (work followed by night class, but the streak is still alive)
Total Miles Run = 89
Lose A Marathon Progress
After my obsessive eating yesterday I was good about staying under my calorie goal today.  Didn't want to have to give you all a sucky report.

  1. I love these! I usually always say, "Believe you can and you will."

    1. So true, if you don't believe you can do it you never will.

  2. I did speedwork today for training for an upcoming half-marathon and half-way through I almost stopped because I was tired and I thought: "Oh, I know I can do it, so I don't really have to do it." I quickly realized that just thinking about running wouldn't actually prepare me for running.
    So here's my new rule:
    Thinking you can do it isn't enough;
You actually have to get out there and do it.

    1. I know what an amazing advertising job by Nike. Pulls you right and and make you think of your own.

  5. I'd never seen these either and now I'm so glad I have. The running one rings so true to me. I'm a big believer in the "fake it till you make it" mentality. During long runs, when I'm feeling like I can't go any further I smile (and force myself to keep the smile on my face until I'm done) and I trick myself into feeling like I'm in mile 3 all over again.

    1. I'm such a faker too. I totally fake smile for every race camera I see also. Pics looks so funny.

  6. OH! ALSO! share with us when you have a bad eating day. Everyone does, it happens, it's part of the process. That doesn't mean it's over. We don't care if you have to give a sucky report, in fact, I will enjoy it- because that means that you learned something and hopefully I'll be able to learn from it too.

    1. I will. That is my goal from this LoseAMarathon challenge... be honest with others & with myself about what I am putting in my body
