Chillin' on a Dirt Road

Mom got a Groupon for 2 wine tastings and 2 drinks at Irvin~House Vineyards on Wadmalaw Island, SC so we went to check it out.  We weren't in it so much for the cheap wine (although that is rarely a bad thing) as we were for getting to check out the entire atmosphere of the place.
Winery & Firefly Vodka Distillery
The buildings were gorgeous.
They had an old country barn look about them.
You know it is a cute place when you even want to take a picture of the bathroom.
The tasting room inside was not as nice as the outside.
Our free wine glasses.
The Muscadine wine itself was a bit sweet for me so...
after the tasting we opted for a frozen Winarita instead of  choosing a glass of wine.
Wine slushee = Delicious.
My theory is everything in moderation, so I didn't feel guilty just having one.
I love the look of grapes growing in wine fields - beautiful.
The grounds themselves were great.
More Live Oaks with Spanish Moss.
(You know I love it.)
The place really was out in the middle of nowhere.
Some of their outdoor plants.
You have to read this in your goat voice.
A little pulley system delivered food you bought (for $0.25) to the goat.
The cow couldn't decide if she wanted to eat her food or lick me.
Well hello, funky looking chicken thing.
Overall it was a great afternoon and I am glad we went.  The grounds and wine slushee were by far the best.
Had any of you ever heard of a wine slushee before?  It was a great summer drink.
What's your favorite summer beverage?
